Northern Bahian Brown Titi

The Northern Bahian brown titi was previously considered a subspecies of Callicebus personatus, but has recently been given full species status. This poorly-studied Atlantic forest endemic is known from only a handful of localities in the northern interior of the state of Bahia where it survives in small populations in scattered forest fragments. At the present time it is not known to occur in any protected areas.
